When choosing the right size of the trap, ensure careful consideration - a larger trap is intended for rat-sized animals, while a smaller trap is designed for mouse-sized animals. Do not use a larger trap for mouse-sized animals, as the mouse may not have enough strength or weight to activate the trap, leading to the bait being consumed without triggering the mechanism. Conversely, do not use a smaller trap for rat-sized animals, as the rat may be too big for the trap to effectively kill, potentially allowing the rat to return and eat the bait from the deactivated trap.

TIPS & TRICKS:

If the trap is still set, but the bait is gone, try using a solid type of bait and tie it up using the provided threads on the pedal. This will require the rat to put in more effort to acquire the bait, increasing the chances of the trap being activated.

If the trap has been tripped and the bait is gone, it may indicate that the trap was too sensitive and prematurely activated. In this case, we recommend adjusting the sensitivity according to the attached manual. Using a solid type of bait tied to the pedal can also help increase the chances of trapping the rat.

If a caught rat has escaped with the trap, use the holes in the platform of the trap to nail or screw it down to the base, preventing the rat from dragging the trap away.
